Hands on Modeling – A

Dear Parents,

At FutureSTRONG Academy, we use playful exploration to understand and solve our learning objectives. While our curriculum is geared towards becoming self reliant and self sufficient, we learn to rely on our team mates to complete a given set of tasks of any given project.

This week our class had two specific objectives.
We learnt two very important concepts necessary for programming a functioning robot:

1. PRECISION: Divide into teams of two and teach a “Robot” how to apply peanut butter and jelly on a sandwich. This helped our children to understand how Robots need precise instructions to think and act.
2. PATIENCE: Divide the class into groups of three and start building a table top robot called DoodleBot. By taking on individual roles of analyst, builder and supervisor – in turns, our children understood the value of importance of patience in a team building effort.

Thank you!
