It’s a fact that we will never have the time or the expertise to solve all of our problems. We must somehow then become creative with our problem solving capabilities.

That’s where the skill of resourcefulness comes into play. When we’re resourceful, we can ask for help and delegate tasks to others (wherever appropriate). If we want to scale up any venture, the only way to do it with is collaboration.

When budget and resources are finite, we can work in a way to inspire others to work towards a common beneficial goal. That way everyone gets to pay and reap for the collective benefit of everyone else.

When it comes to conflict management, the golden rule of getting along with everyone is diplomacy. Even a child can say whatever is on their mind. So, don’t be a child. Act in a way that everyone involved in the situation wins.

When people see that you care about how to conduct yourselves in front of others, they will begin to feel safe in your presence. When you’re approachable, people want to be nice to you and will be willing to do anything for you.

There’s a good side effect to having this kind of an attitude. It makes it possible for us to have contradicting opinions to exist around the same topic. It gives us a bigger perspective on things and helps everyone grow.

Key skills and strengths that makes one resourceful are: Open Mindedness, Self-Regulation, Compliance, Divergent Thinking, Adaptive Functioning, Autonomy, and Interpersonal Interactions.

When you try to be too forgiving, there’s a downside to how people will perceive your motives. And that’s where open communication takes center stage. Set and understand expectations and intentions early on in relationships. No one likes ambiguity and confusion.

Next, try to be positive about things, like having an unlimited mindset. This makes us a high value resource and a great reliable employee at work. An unlimited mindset makes us resilient with an attitude of doing whatever it takes to get the job done. Who doesn’t like that?

Remember our network is our networth. You never know who will come to your rescue in this long journey called life. Just be nice to everyone.

Have a learner’s mindset and be comfortable to acknowledge the fact that you don’t have all the answers all the time. Is there a better way to be a lifelong learner than being humble, open minded and learning from our mistakes? This unassuming quality will attract others who would also want to work on their own strengths and potential.

Play the long game in life. Don’t ghost or break ties with anyone if they have an upper hand in a deal at the moment. Blame, judgement, dissatisfaction are all temporary emotions brought on by unnecessary negative feelings of being wronged. Remember, it only takes a second for fortunes to change.

After all, we’re all here in our own personal quests to finding our true purpose. The sooner we realize that, the faster we will be making the most positive impact and contribution to the world around us.

Be open minded like water, ready to adapt and take up whatever shape and space you’re given. When you’re this flexible you become a people magnet where those around you will go the extra mile to fulfil your most audacious dreams.
