On Bias And Opinion: 

And thanks to the Internet, we are all interconnected and the more connected we are, the more interdependent we are. It’s just not a reflection of what the majority thinks but it’s only seven per cent of what the public opinion is. Only seven per cent. All the trending topics you see, trying to make a point, are just fractions of those seven per cent. But you somehow get lured by it and get biased. So, it forms opinion rather than just reflecting opinion.

How do humans thrive and leave a lasting legacy?

By following their heart and listening to their own voice when it comes to making choices. And by understanding the two things that matter the most to humans:

1. Doing important meaningful work.
2. And a strong security that comes from financial independence.

On Goals And The Journey:

I have always believed that where you arrive at is not the only thing that’s important. Of course, the Independence of India was extremely important and at that point of time, it was something that everyone wanted. But without taking away much of that feeling, I feel the path that you take to reach there it is also equally important. Whether it is the right way or the wrong way is very contextual, it’s your perspective of looking at things.

1. Acutely self-aware. Acknowledging he is different than his peers.
2. Ability to turn inward. Meditation and chanting. Thinking fast and thinking slow. Tapping into intuition.
3. Not take himself seriously. Goofing around and always smiling like a child.
4. Ability to detach from the material world. Buys a car and says he realizes that it didn’t give him everlasting happiness.
5. Understanding his ultimate purpose. To understand and be understood.
6. Collaboration rather than competition.
7. Playing with paradoxes. Schrödinger’s smile, Photon with a double split.
8. Being a lifelong learner. Liked unknowns more than knowns.
9. Understanding nuances in everything. Correlations are different than causations.
10. Being a futurist, forward thinker. The future is here, its distributed unequally.
11. Connecting to mother nature. Shrinks your ego. Organic farming.
12. Staying true to himself in work. And even promoting projects he believed in.

On Independence Of Thought In The Age Of Social Media:

We have become more sensitive to each other. And we have become interdependent, we need to change the definition of independence. Because of freedom — in terms of what you want to do, what you want to say, how you want to say it, freedom of speech and the non-linear complex system, the butterfly effect happens more. And we are more interdependent so everything that we do or say will be heard more and will effect the entire system. We need to be more careful now.
