Deliberate Decision Making:

Our brains are our life savers. They want us to be happy, and get away with as little work as possible. As a result, they try to arrive at the fastest conclusion for decisions based on our past experiences, our biases and our beliefs.

And that’s exactly living life in reaction mode rather than in deliberate response mode. When we are intentional, we become aware of our assumptions and preconceived notions. We are able to make smart decisions and still to our goals longer.

Here are FOUR questions you ask yourself in the face of a decision:

1. What is imp: payoff mode
2. How am I going to get it done: process mode.
3. Who needs to get involved: people mode.
4. What if this or that happens: possibilities mode.

Using Intention, Intuition And Our Inherent Wisdom:

Having a vision and a road map for where you want to go helps turn your ideas into actionable goals. Without goals, you’re like a ship drifting without a direction. Without goals, we’re sleeping walking instead of being in the driving seat of our life.

Most of our lives, except those of us experience deep existential angst at an early age. We get caught up on what the standard of beauty is, what the definition of entertainment is, and what success and happiness look like.

But, instead of getting carried away with mob fever, how about we used our own intuition and our inherent wisdom?

Why Do We Sleep Walk?

Because we love status quo, the comfort of knowing what to expect.

What happens if we sleep walk through our life?
We might not use our strengths to their full potential.
And we might burn out easily in the long term because we are not living our authentic life.
We might miss opportunities that are presenting themselves in front of us.
And we might miss a great opportunity to inspire and encourage those around us to do their best.

Having a goal of #BetterThanYesterday inspires you to do more and be better each passing day. It gives you the contentment and the self-satisfaction of a well lived life.

Life cannot be a series of accidents, it must be a carefully designed bouquet. Autopilot is for planes. Live intentionally, starting now.

Begin, By Asking Yourself Everyday:

How can I contribute?
How can I stay in touch?
How I can be authentic that reflects my values and aspirations?
